Hi, I’m Justin — a drill writer, visual designer, and color guard choreographer based in Southcentral Kentucky.

My work is rooted in clarity, musicality, and creating moments that feel intentional from the first set through the final picture.
I’ve worked with multiple Kentucky Music Educators Association State Champion programs, numerous state finalists, and a Bands of America Class A National Champion. Collaborating with high-achieving programs has allowed me to help shape shows that are both artistically strong and competitively successful.
Drill writing wasn’t originally part of the plan. I was asked to choreograph for a program for the season, and just before band camp began, they unexpectedly found themselves without a drill writer.
Although I had never written drill before, it was something I had long been interested in. A trusted mentor encouraged the director to take a chance on me, and I saw it as the right moment to step in.
What began as a last-minute solution quickly became an opportunity that reshaped my approach to design. Expanding beyond choreography into full visual coordination revealed a natural extension of my creative instincts and a deeper understanding of how every element of a show connects — an approach that, over the following seasons, helped guide that program to its first State Finals appearance.
Clarity over clutter. Purpose over filler.
I care deeply about creating moments that resonate — the kind that land emotionally with both performers and audiences, and stay with them long after the performance ends.
Whether I’m writing drill, shaping visual identity, or choreographing guard, my goal is the same: create shows that are unified, intentional, musical — and crafted to stand out competitively through strong, cohesive design.
